What You'll Do as a Public Safety Intelligence Manager
• Supervises production of all Public Safety Intelligence Analysts assigned to the Terrorism Analysis Unit;
• Oversees & coordinates policies developed by public safety intelligence analysts to ensure consistency & efficiency (e.g., policies & protocols for state & local governmental entities in homeland security, counterterrorism, & protection of critical infrastructure & resources in the State of Ohio);
• Develops & implements all homeland security intelligence production (e.g., processes for analysts to prepare &/or revise manuals, policies, programs, proposed rules, regulations &/or directives pertaining directly to fusion center; processes for analysts to independently review & analyze problems related to sophisticated &/or complex terrorism-related activity from other STACC units & user agency personnel; processes for analysts to prepare intelligence reports, products, & briefings for presentation);
• Utilizes state vehicle to travel to various locations & transport equipment (e.g., laptop, surveillance equipment, etc.) in order to collect, research & analyze intelligence information & other resources to determine patterns, trends & movements of terrorists &/or professional criminals to aid law enforcement agencies with investigations;
• Ensures & is responsible for auditing & compliance with 28 Code of Federal Regulations (i.e., 28 CFR);
• Attends meetings & provides briefs &/or advice to public officials (e.g., Department of Public Safety Director, State HSA);

OPTION 1:
48 mos. exp conducting research & writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques.
OPTION 2:
-Or completion of graduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs or related field;
AND 12 mos. exp. conducting research & writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques.
OPTION 3:
-Or 12 mos. exp. as Public Safety Intelligence Analyst, 64931.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
