Job Description:

The basic purpose or function of this position is:

Oversee and manage the metallurgical manufacturing processes by creating work instructions, specifications, calibration, and assisting in audits.

Provide metallurgical support to Manufacturing and Quality departments by conducting metallographic and SEM analysis. Conducts various metallurgical projects.

Prepares corresponding documentation and reports.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science. Minimum of one (1) year of experience or equivalent experience. Knowledge and experience of metallurgical process and material characterization methods.

Experience with SEM.

Knowledge of Nickel base superalloy is preferred.

Skills and Knowledge required for this position are:

Good verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate.

Good organizational skills. Leadership abilities.

Problem-solving abilities. Able to write and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and/or work in-process documents.

Conducts material reverse engineering projects including metallurgical evaluation of OEM blades and preparing corresponding documentation and reports.

Perform metallurgical evaluation of developmental parts and prepare corresponding documentation and reports.

Provide metallurgical support to Manufacturing and Quality departments by conducting metallographic and SEM analysis.

Provide support to Met Lab.

Assist in and conduct metallurgical development projects.

General department housekeeping.

Regular attendance and punctuality.

Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards

Ensures compliance with Company IPM'QP1v1 and IS0-9000 quality requirements

The marginal duties and responsibilities (performed occasionally or at irregular intervals) for this position are:

Traveling outside the facility, as required.

Performing other tasks in the facility, as needed.
