Entry Level Distribution Engineer

Actalent is hiring for Entry Level Distribution Engineers to support power delivery projects.

Must be local to Houston and be able to perform field work when needed.

Responsibilities will include: Review work provided by Client and assess requirements of scopes.

Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met.

Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design.

Travel to sites as needed, perform inspections and return to the office to perform engineering design work.

Some project work will require traveling locally in Houston and regionally if needed, collecting field data that will assist in the development of electrical design work packages Background Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline Willingness to perform both field and office work Written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in outdoor environments, as some field work could be required Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Power/Utilities experience is preferred Previous experience with field data collection is preferred This role requires a valid US driver's license as local and regional travel is required if necessary Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
