Description:

Amca is building America's new industrial base. Since the 1990s, our ability to build new aviation and military systems and maintain the ones we already have has eroded. Today, the gap between what the nation needs to produce and what it is capable of producing is the largest it has been in generations.

To help close that gap, Amca rapidly develops and manufactures new critical components and subsystems required to build and sustain the planes, military vehicles, and core infrastructure America needs. Today, we operate seven factories nationwide, including our advanced prototyping and testing headquarters in El Segundo, and deliver avionics, hydraulic, and electrical components for platforms such as the F-35, F-16, F/A-18, 737MAX, 787, A320neo, A321, Mk-48, and M1 Abrams.

Overview:

You will develop both the qualification and acceptance testing equipment to validate new electrical product designs. Your primary function will be to work with the electrical design engineers to make test systems that rapidly ensure the reliability of Amca's products.

Responsibilities:

Develop rapid solutions for test equipment for qualification testing of electrical hardware

Work with design engineers to understand end-use applications and develop qualification test plans for hardware

Take full ownership of test bed design and build, including electrical schematic creation, component selection, PCBA layout, and hardware builds

Support integration of test beds with environmental test equipment (thermal chambers, vibration shakers, shock systems, humidity, salt fog, etc)

Support execution of qualification tests for new hardware

Build and deploy the necessary software to operate the test bed

Build acceptance test solutions for production test

Work with design engineers to develop acceptance test plans for new hardware.

Leveraging test equipment developed for qualification testing, build out acceptance testing hardware that optimizes reliability, lead time, and labor.

Work closely with Build Engineering and Production to make electrical tests as production friendly as possible.

Develop the software that interfaces with the test bed to simplify test execution
