Manulife/John Hancock is looking for talented Business System Analyst to join our Global Solutions Delivery (GSD) group. The Actuarial Services Delivery team has been established to accelerate the technical evolution and support of our Actuaries around the world.

The Actuarial Services Delivery team will have to collaborate with our Actuarial teams in Toronto, Boston, and throughout Asia. We are committed to engage top talent, provoke ideas, and foster a culture of innovation that encourages an entrepreneurial approach to lead the discovery and implementation of new solutions.

In this role, members of the Actuarial Services Delivery team will:

• Collaborate with Valuation System Transformation project team and other groups within GSD as well as Actuaries within the company to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate the delivery of new business value through software, infrastructure and services

• Deliver an exceptional user experience to Actuaries, through the delivery of services enabling

Self-service environment provisioning and configuration

Continuous integration, testing, delivery, and deployment

Logging, monitoring, and insight

Collaboration, planning, and reporting

• Maintain and support these delivery services, with accountability for production reliability and usage, and the delivery of new functionality

The ideal candidate will have:

An entrepreneurial spirit and will be comfortable working within a rapidly changing startup environment

A high level of curiosity and comfort with ambiguity

Qualifications

Job Requirements (Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Experience/Education):

1. University degree in Computer Science and/or related field experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to learn technology and tools at a rapid pace

Familiarity with Financial Industry

5. 5 years of experience in an enterprise environment providing:

Application system development and support

Experience with Microsoft Azure and High Performance Computing

Experience of Informatica ICS, CA Workflow automation, HDInsight, SQL

Experience with .NET and/or Python

Understanding with GGY AXIS, MatLab, ATLAS is an asset

Experience with Actuarial Modeling is an asset

Research and recommend automated approaches for system administration tasks

Management and deployment of projects within organization

Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures

Contribute to and maintain system standards

6. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
