JOB TITLE: Sr. Project Manager (Engineering PM -- NOT an IT role)

LOCATION: Hayward, CA

DURATION: 12+ Month Contract

Job Description

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for supporting strategic initiatives of the Global Operations and Engineering platform such as improvement on manufacturing capacity and capability, as well as facility renovation and new construction through capital investment projects. The incumbent ensures that all projects follow good Project Management methodologies and practices and that project related schedules, information, and data, etc. are well documented and maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage multi-disciplinary project execution with the development of clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefits;

• Maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project and updated on a weekly basis;

• Equipment qualification experience, process control

• Maintain project costs and complete execution within budget;

• Follow internal SOPs throughout the project life-cycle covering planning, design/engineering, execution, and qualification;

• Maintain Top Priority Engineering Projects Inet/Shared Point web sites and ensure that all information are organized and updated on a routine basis;

• Lead functional stakeholders in defining costs, risks, and schedule impact of engineering projects;

• Accountable for defining, leading, and delivering results for engineering projects supporting Hayward operations;

• Own deliverables throughout project life-cycle;

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering;

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry including 3 years of direct experience in Project Management;

• Requires solid knowledge of cGMP, PMBOK methodologies, and Project Management tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Project and Shared Point;

• Position requires excellent leadership skills in areas of decision making, communication, collaboration, and presentation to all levels of staff and management.
