Our client, a hospital located in the Panhandle of FL, has a need for a Trauma Nurse Practitioner to join their growing team. They have recently added a new General Surgeon as well as 2 Orthopedic Surgeons to their Trauma Team. The ARNP will be seeing patients in the office as well doing rounds in the hospital. Candidates MUST have experience with acute care or critical care patient population. They are a Level II Trauma. Sorry, no new grads!

In collaboration with a physician or group of physicians, assumes care management of a patient population. Following established nursing standards, procedures and practices, and working within the State of Florida Board of Nursing guidelines, gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other staff. Advanced registered nurse practitioners shall perform, within established protocols, those functions authorized by the State of Florida Board of Nursing.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education: Masters of Science in Nursing, Certification in area of Specialty.

Minimum Qualifications: 2 to 5 years experience with acute/critical care patient populations. Ability to greet and effectively relate to patients. Computer skills. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing. Ability to deal with pressure and complaints. Able to maintain professional demeanor in high stress environment. Presents oneself in a professional manner through appearance and conduct.

Certification/Registration: Florida licensed RN/ARNP; Certification as an ARNP as defined in Chapter 464 Florida Statute.
