PCA and other Direct Support Care

Rewarding Work Resources
Boston, Massachusetts, United States
November 30, 2016

Individuals with disabilities and elders who receive services from the MassHealth PCA program may contact you directly to support them as a PCA, personal care assistant or personal care attendant.

You will be asked by the individual or family member to physically assist the individual in performing activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).

IADLs include household services such as laundry, shopping, housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation to medical providers, and other special needs. Individuals, participating in the MassHealth PCA program may hire one or more PCAs, as necessary, to meet their needs.
