Advanced Threat Sr. Sales Engineer (CE)
The Advanced Threat Sales Engineer (CE) will be responsible for providing pre and post sales engineering support to my clients account teams.
This position will have a common objective and candidate will be held accountable for achieving specific sales revenue goals as well as progress with partner relationships and other business development activities.
The CE will be responsible for providing technical sales support and account management that will include:
*Conducting sales presentations and demos for potential direct customers as well as partners.
*Providing sales call follow-up and proactive account management of the resulting technical relationship with prospects and customers to close deal.
*Keeping account information up to date in clients CRM and CE tracking system, attendance at all sales, sales engineering, and product management meetings.
*Detailing / presenting our products features, operation, support services and resulting values to customers / partners.
*Responding to RFP/RFI/RFQs in coordination with sales account manager.
*Managing & performing customer technical evaluations of the organizations Security Analytics (SA) solution.
*Providing detailed / timely customer solution feedback and feature requests to product management.
*Leading technical discussions at customer and partner workshops, tradeshows, and joint selling opportunities.
*Architecting and recommending specific deployment solutions of clients SA for customers.
*Performing and managing product implementations at customer locations in close coordination with ATAC and operations / post-sale team.
*Performing technical product and system administration and user training for customers and partners.
*Troubleshooting and resolving product issues discovered during the implementation process.
*Scheduling and conducting introduction of customers to company support team after performing implementations.
The CE position reports to the Regional Sales Engineering Team Manager.
Previous enterprise pre and post sales engineering (CE) experience (min 5 years for CE, 7 years for Sr. CE) for a data network vendor, security vendor, DPI vendor or network Security Company including both presentation and hands-on responsibilities.
Previous experience successfully responding to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs from Fortune 1000 level customers including data service / hosting providers.
Proven track record of helping sales account managers close deals with Fortune 1000 customers by overcoming "perceived" and real customer technical hurdles while at the same time articulating solution and product technical value propositions and benefits.
Proven ability to provide hands on technical product demonstrations and training.
Excellent presentation and written skills.
Proven track record supporting complex multilayer sales process (Solution Partners, OEMs, Integrators and VARs etc.).
Strong understanding of network security including, advanced treat analysis, Incident Response (IR), Digital Forensics (DF), packet capture and packet analysis.
Solid understanding of IP network security design / security operations and hands-on work preferred with various network security solutions such as Firewalls, IDS, IPS, malware detection/quarantine, network TAP's and packet capture.
Strong understanding of RSA NetWitness/Security Analytics, Blue Coat Security Analytics - Threatblades, ETPro, SNORT, Suricata, Norman Shark, tshark, Wireshark and FireEye.
Familiarity with enterprise routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, RIP, etc.
Hands-on experience with operating systems including, Linux, Windows, MAC OS, Android, iOS.
Experience with CentOS, Ubuntu, Fedora, Red Hat Linux, Windows 7/8, Windows Server OS preferred.
Understanding of access control and authentication infrastructure (.NET, Netegrity, RSA/Securant, Oblix, LDAP, CMS, PKI, RADIUS/Tacacs+).
Network management understanding (SNMP, RMON, MRTG, HP OpenView, Unicenter, Tivoli, Netcool, HP Arcsight, Splunk, etc.).
