The job description is below:

The Journeyman Level 1 is responsible for developing and maintaining a good working relationship with the RDC General Contracting group, Sub Contracting Partners and all other RDC departments (Mechanical, Operations, IT, ISD, Safety, Security) working on the project.

The Journeyman Level 1 is also responsible for coordinating schedules with the RDC General Contracting Group, Sub Contracting Partners and various departments within RDC. Coordinates with all electrical journeymen and apprentices under his/her direction.

The Journeyman Level 1 will also be responsible for the development of all apprentices and material handlers in the electrical construction of RDC projects. Also, deals with Architects, Engineers, and Designers, both in-house and third party. It is the Journeyman Level 1's responsibility to develop and maintain a good working relationship with these people and to represent the company by showing respect and belief in the common goal of everyone and to get the job done on time and within budget. They must be able to take direction from their supervisor and then be able to execute those duties.

This person needs to have the ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications and have knowledge of construction sequencing as well as scheduling capabilities and the ability to read, understand and execute the project schedule. Must have the ability to communicate with others and be capable of giving directions in a way that others will understand.

The Journeyman Level 1 will work closely with the Lead Journeyman, Foreman, Superintendent of Electrical construction, and Project Managers in planning the project, tasking labor, assembling material lists and coordinating subcontractor work for construction projects.

Performs a variety of electrical tasks, including tasks of a more complex nature, with minimal supervision. Regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance.
