Description:

The Ballard and Loyal Heights Community Center's Preschool Programs are both seeking a dynamic and engaging Lead Teacher for their preschool class.

The Preschool Lead Teacher will work with children in the ages 3-4 or Pre-K classroom to provide a great way to prepare children for kindergarten in a safe and nurturing environment.

Schedule for Ballard:

•Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 8:45am - 12:45pm

•Schedule may change to Monday through Friday starting January 2017

•Schedule/hours subject to change based on program needs, including during the summer months

Schedule for Loyal Heights:

•Mondays through Thursdays 9:00am-1:00pm

•Summer program schedule/hours subject to change based on program needs (may be Monday through Friday)

Basic Duties:

•Daily operation of the preschool which includes building a safe and nurturing environment, developing and delivering program, care and custody of participants, and supervise and evaluate assistants as necessary

•Point of contact with participating families

•Working with Preschool Director and Staff to coordinate activities and events such as open houses

•Other duties as assigned by the Preschool Director

Requirements:

•Must be 21 years of age or older

•At least two years experience leading activities and working with this age group

•Ability to work well and communicate with young children and their parents

•Ability to plan age-appropriate engaging activities

•First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain

•Must pass criminal background check

•Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and valid government issued ID

•Must sign up for direct deposit with either checking or savings account or Payroll Paycard

This is a part-time, year round, and non-benefited position.
