Job Description:

Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle West Vancouver, located at 1560 Marine Drive, West Vancouver (between 15th and 16th Street) is seeking a full time Food Services Supervisor (Kitchen Supervisor) (NOC 6311). The wage offered is $13.50 per hour for 35 to 40 hours per week, plus 10 days paid vacation. The probation period is two months.

As a Food Services Supervisor, you will perform the activities to supervise and coordinate colleagues who prepare and portion food. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of staff who prepare and portion food;

Estimate and plan the purchase of materials and supplies required for meal preparation;

Seek out new suppliers;

Keep records of stock and sales;

Evaluate and ensure that food and services meet quality control standards;

Assist the manager to develop and maintain proper plans, procedures and budgets;

Keep restaurant and equipments clean;

May participate in preparation of daily dishes.

The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, dependable and work well under pressure and with a team. The requirements for this position are as follows:

Completion of high school;

Completion of a post-secondary program in food service administration or related discipline or recent experience in food preparation or services is required;

Strong verbal skills, and be able to communicate efficiently with staff in the restaurant;

Knowledge or experience in supplies purchasing is an asset;

Knowledge or experience in developing action plans is an asset;

Knowledge or experience in seeking suppliers and in managing budget is an asset;
