Skill-Set will encompass the following:

Knowledge to resolve incident/request or dispatch to the appropriate team using correct priority

Participate in bridge calls relating to outages and communicate impacts to enterprise

Live and promote a CI Culture with Lean management best practices (huddle boards, Problem Solving, Optimizing workflows within the team and between teams)

Effectively manage and continue to improve business partner relationships

Monitoring of automated alerts

Scheduled balancing functions identified as manual

Run SQL reports as requested

Schedule (E2E) test cycle execution and monitoring

-(This position will require Off-Hours worked. Monday thru Thurs starting at 4:00pm until 7:00PM and Fridays 2:00PM until 5:00PM roughly )

Remainder of work schedule will be day shift hours*

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for moderately complex IT systems process analysis, design, implementation and operation. Under minimal guidance, analyzes existing processes, procedures and methods to ensure and promote effective systems operations through standardization, improvement, simplification, discontinuance or other methods. May coordinate and implement proposed process and procedure enhancements between work teams and operational departments. May be responsible for day-to-day operations and execution of moderately complex IT processes, facilitation of key IT process events and fulfillment of process deliverables. May focus on process development, execution, monitoring or reporting.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to Manager

CORE JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under minimal guidance, designs, develops, configures, customizes, documents, deploys, maintains and upgrades IT system processes and procedures.

Under minimal guidance, may perform the day-to-day operations of IT systems processes, including the operation of process-related tools. Facilitates key process events and fulfills customer requests and process deliverables through all phases of the process lifecycle.

Under minimal guidance, initiates, enables and supports IT process redesign and/or reengineering initiatives and projects through continual process improvements. Identifies and markets new and creative IT systems process redesigns.

Under minimal guidance, performs IT systems process evaluations and develops recommendations by use of benchmarks, pilots, prototyping and modeling to assess potential use of new methods and workflows within a system process. Evaluates systems processes for design effectiveness and resource utilization to ensure process performance meets targeted service levels.

Under minimal guidance, analyzes and aligns customer requirements with the organization's infrastructure components including process design, product delivery, information technology systems, organizational functions and overall business structure. Develops and provides recommendations on possible process, tool and control enhancements to increase the quality and optimization of IT services and resources.

Participates on a project team involved with the development, implementation, administration, and operation of new IT system processes, which may include multiple functions, product lines, technology platforms and business activities. Facilitates post-implementation and conformance reviews for moderately complex processes to ensure conformance to IT process requirements.

Under minimal guidance, implements, maintains and operates basic process design, operational and measurement tools and methods in order to design, operate, monitor and improve IT system processes.

Under minimal guidance, provides insight into demand and capacity needs and supports portfolio planning as directed.

Under minimal guidance, ensures effective transition from "Plan" to "Build" by facilitating work requests through the demand process.

Under minimal guidance, manages all release activities, including release planning, building, deploying, reporting and trend analysis.

Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, business or related field is preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: IT Process-related certifications desired.

Experience: Typically three or more years of related experience in IT systems process design or operations.

Knowledge: Maintains current understanding of technological trends to support IT process design and operations to improve IT performance. Maintains current understanding of insurance and financial services industry, focusing on the company enterprise and key competitors.

Skills/Competencies: Must have the ability to analyze or operate moderately complex IT processes and systems. Must possess process design skills and be able to determine redesign effects on existing processes and tools. Must have moderate decision-making skills for IT process operation and design solution recommendations. Must have written and verbal communication skills to prepare and communicate process plans, procedures and deliverables as well as to interact with all levels within the company. Must have experience around approved industry standards and tools utilized by Nationwide.
