The Sushi Cook will:
•assist with the preparation of sushi ingredients.
•be prepared to run sushi station efficiently and smoothly, including set-up, breakdown and routine cleaning of sushi bar.
•greet guests in a professional, friendly and courteous manner. Informs guests of specials and menu changes; makes suggestions and answers questions regarding sushi menu
•deal with guests in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.
•prepare all sushi items according to proper recipe and portion size.
•keep track of all sushi items being served to assure they are entered correctly in the POS
•observe each guest to ensure that they are satisfied with the food service.
•throughout shift, maintains a clean and organized workstation keeping sanitation and safety as the highest priority
•1 - 2 years of demonstrated ability with and knowledge of Sushi.
•Ability to interact with guests and fellow team members.
•Previous and demonstrable skills using knives.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Ability to multi task and show flexibility during high volume periods.
•Minimum of 1 – 2 years training at a culinary institute or previous restaurant training and experience required
•Sufficient strength and dexterity to handle heavy pots and pans and to operate kitchen equipment.
•Cooperative attitude in performing a variety of tasks as assigned.
