Title: Records Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

• The Regional Records Manager is part of a team focused on developing one geography rather than a specific record category. This role is critical for the organization and is designed to support all PR, commercial and TV activities in a particular geography. Their main mission is to provide excellent service for internal and external local customers.

• Their responsibilities include processing applications, giving information about the company, adjudicating and validating records, conducting initial research into new record ideas, looking for talent, supporting the PR and TV teams, providing statistical information about their region, investigating complaints, proposing creative records solution, etc. To provide exceptional customer service, representing the brand and explaining policies and processes for a specific territory.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.Processing records applications and providing record related support across all categories to internal departments and external customers for the US and Canada.

2.Process all premium requests, such as Fast Track applications, within agreed-upon SLAs.

3.Assess new record proposals against firm’s criteria, research the concept as thoroughly as possible in order to determine whether it is possible to monitor and what requirements might be necessary.

4.Write guidelines for new records and amend existing guidelines and record entries when necessary.

5.Discuss new record ideas and guidelines amendments with expert Category Managers and follow global policies for record evaluation.

6.Respond to general record related customers’ inquiries for the assigned region (customer services), including phone and email.

7.Commercial: review records proposals from commercial customers, where relevant provide alternatives and creative record solutions

8.Support PR plans by identifying potential record holders both for specific initiatives and more general PR and digital strategy.

9.Monitor news and research events in assigned territory to proactively suggest and approve relevant records taking place in the region.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

•Bachelor’s degree required

•Customer services background - experience with the general public and business to business

•Project management skills

•Ability to prioritize work using time management and organizational skills

•Capable of working independently and proactively while multi-tasking

•Enthusiastic with a passion for the brand

•Good communication skills, externally and internally

•Cultural sensitivity
