Assist in the design and implementation of a comprehensive strategic planning process and operating expense budgets. Handle financials for Regional Affiliate carriers by managing an annual budget of nearly $2B. Perform monthly financial settlements, close and forecast process. Present results to Senior Vice President on a monthly basis. Monitor and develop strategic studies and action plans. Coordinate near and long-term planning activities to ensure consistency and compliance with corporate action plans. Evaluate competitive strategies and industry trends to determine impact on current or contemplated action plans. Ensure compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley controls, internal and external audit requirements; interacts with internal and external auditors as necessary. Perform ad hoc analyses and influence decisions in regards to strategic direction of the Regional team.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F

2 years of experience in the job offered or in financial analysis, plus demonstrated experience in: Financial analytical skills with an understanding of discounted cash flow analysis, forecasting techniques and variance analysis; Presenting financial analysis, capital planning and forecasting to management; Analyzing complex contracts; Knowledge of budgeting, accruals and financial settlements; Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls, internal and external audit requirements; Financial Statements Analysis; Managerial accounting, financial modeling and analysis of large amounts of data; Journal entries and Balance sheet reconciliation; Expertise in Microsoft Excel including index-match, pivot tables, vlookups, and VBA macros Proficiency in Hyperion Essbase, and SAP; Working with corporate database systems including Mosaic and IBM Cognos; Proficiency in SQL, Tableau and power pivot; and a comprehensive understanding of airline industry economics and various functions including marketing, finance and strategy planning required.

A Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, or related field.
