Certified Surgical Technologist

Our hospital is inviting a Certified Surgical Tech to practice in a state-of-the-art facility in beautiful Florida. Florida offers a tremendous quality of life with a wonderful climate, low cost of living, NO State Income Tax and is a great place to call home!


Functions as a member of surgical team, maintains sterile environment for surgical patients of all ages, ensures availability of case-specific supplies and equipment and passes instruments and supplies.

Prepare the operating room for surgery, set up surgical instruments and equipment, maintain sterile conditions, and monitor the patient and equipment during surgery.

Prepare patients for surgery and transport them to and from surgery.

Perform a task called “circulating,” which can involve bringing in supplies or equipment and other tasks that do not require maintaining sterile conditions.

Assists the surgeon under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Performs transport duties within the perioperative departments.

Provides and maintains a safe, physical environment.

Proficient and safe use of equipment.

Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department and interdepartmental objectives, and maintain good employee relations.


Completion of a surgical tech training program and pass an exam to receive the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certificate

Certifications / Licensure:

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred


2-5 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room experience preferred

Special Skills:

Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in surgical techniques.

Cognitive, technical and interpersonal skills required to deliver intelligent, safe and effective assistance to the Surgeon and maintenance of instruments and equipment.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
