Franchise Training Manager – Role Description

The Training team at Freshii creates and manages the learning experience and training program development for Freshii team members, coaches, team leads, assistant managers, store managers, & franchise partners across the globe.

New Store Openings (80%)

Under the leadership of the Director of Training, continuously innovate the training strategy, tools, and approach to onboard and develop new franchise partners and their teams

Ensure a quality training strategy is being executed for all new stores

Partner with the field consultants to ensure a smooth transition from new store opening to daily operations

Build facilitation & team member training capacity in store managers and multi-unit managers

Ensure all new-store training programs are running in a quality way in all stores

Facilitate all operational, financial, sales, and people leadership training for franchise partners and managers

Ensure all metrics are on track for your store openings (i.e. positive survey results, 85%+ audit score, no negative guest feedback)

Represent, stand for and teach people values & operating principles

Write reports documenting location visits, reviews, openings and trainings.

Frequent connection with Field Consultants to identify training gaps, evaluate execution of recent training, and to be in relationship with the partners & managers

Specialized Training (20%)

Work with department lead to organize new & complex content into learning resources, including learning videos, infographics/visuals, job aids, podcasts, training guides, etc.

Facilitate train-the-trainer’s / train-the-FC’s to support new initiative rollouts and programming updates from your department

Co-create and manage evaluation strategies with Director of Training and VP People Culture, in order to track and report on adoption & efficacy of training programming

Identify and explore training needs for your department and work with department lead to develop and implement materials as needed

Create and deliver impactful online & offsite learning solutions for your department

Partner with department leader to identify and build facilitation/delivery capability within the business

Coach and support department leader around training gaps

Field Consultants - How they work with & support the success of Training

Attend train-the-FC sessions to get updated on new content and programming

Communicate the ongoing strategies set by the HQ & training team to the field to ensure successful implementation

Frequent store visits to identify training gaps, evaluate execution of recent training, and to be in relationship with the partners & managers.

Bring feedback on gaps to the training team, with actionable ideas / solutions (monthly?)

In Class Trainer

Teach and deliver a systematic plan of in class lectures, demonstrations, group discussion and activities, for global franchise partners and managers.

Supervise, lead and teach all required hands on training.

Provide individual tutorial sessions if and when required.

Work with department director to organize new & complex content into learning resources, including learning videos, infographics/visuals, job aids, podcasts, training guides, etc.

Facilitate train-the-trainer’s / train-the-FC’s to support new initiative rollouts and programming updates from your specific department.

Co-create and manage evaluation strategies with Director of Training and VP People Culture, in order to track and report on adoption & efficacy of training programming

Identify and explore training needs for your department and work with department lead to develop and implement materials as needed

Facilitate teaching on all operational, financial, sales, and people leadership training for franchise partners and managers.

Ensure all metrics are on track for setting franchise partners up for success. (i.e. positive survey results, 85%+ final exam)

Ensure a quality training strategy is being executed for all new franchise partners and managers.

Be able to adapt and tailor training to larger groups while ensuring all material is covered.

Communicate with and develop training material from all relevant departments within the company, finance, people culture, menu innovation, supply chain etc.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management or related

1-3 years experience in a training role in a retail or food service company

Significant experience in a managerial role in a retail or food-service environment

Experience implementing and executing policies in a retail or food-service environment

Experience creating learning materials and resources for training

Full time, permanent role

Number of positions: 1

Salary - $62,500-65,000

NOC: 4021

Will be eligible for annual performance based increases
