Pediatric Surgery - This north Florida Health system is seeking a pediatric general surgeon for Jacksonville. This is a great opportunity for a pediatric surgeon looking to build a practice from the ground up. This surgeon will be part of the employed physician network and enjoy all of the benefits of competitive compensation and benefits package, malpractice coverage, PTO, CMEs, and relocation assistance will be provided.

The incoming surgeon will practice at two facilities in Jacksonville. The first hospital is a level II trauma center and has a level II NICU, PICU, Peds ED and general pediatric floor. The second Hospital is not a designated trauma center, but has a level II NICU, PICU, PEDS ED and general pediatric floor.

The health system has become the largest system of providers for pediatric services in the country. With this responsibility, the health system has invested in pediatric services through the creation of the Children’s Service Line. The Children’s Service group has recently developed a long range, enterprise-wide strategic plan with over seventy hospitals engaged in the planning process. The structure and planning process has positioned us well to lead the country with outstanding outcomes and improved patient family satisfaction in order to grow our services safely. Building upon the leading role the health system plays in national reform in work such as Elective Deliveries Prior to 39 Weeks and MRSA Reduction, Children’s Services is proud to partner with Harvard to embark on two pediatric studies.

The Children’s Services group is engaged in connecting hospital and physician leadership together from its Signature Children’s Hospitals to all our community hospitals that provide various levels of pediatric services. Through this coordinated network we are better able to replicate best practices and deliver exceptional care to our communities we serve.
