Job Description:

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for management of unique WIC projects such as performance metrics and benchmarks, request for proposals (RFPs), contracts, and all documents submitted to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Management of these projects will include such duties as timeline creation and adherence, initial drafting of documents, regulatory requirements management, and paper flow tracking between WIC and USDA, Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA), ISDH Finance, and other WIC contractors. Incumbent is responsible for compliance with all State of Indiana and USDA WIC regulations.


Coordinate with WIC Epidemiologist and other WIC managers in creation and analysis of performance metrics and benchmarks.

Coordinate with WIC Communications Specialist to develop and implement Social Media Policy at the local agency level.

Develop and maintain online training modules for WIC local agency staff.

Oversee the writing and annual submission of Indiana WIC state plan to USDA.

Manages paper flow to/from USDA for all required planning, RFP, and other project related documents.

Leads infant formula rebate procurement process.

Collects, reviews, and approves all Memorandum of Agreements (MOU) submitted to State agency from WIC local agencies. Assists WIC Epidemiologist with Data Sharing Agreements.

Complete all projects as assigned.

Preferred Experience:

Bachelor's Degree

Strong project management skills (PMP not required)

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Thorough written and oral communication skills

Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously

Seven (7) years work experience in program coordination; development; implementation; or accredited college training in a related field.
