The Associated Recreation Council (ARC) is seeking a full-time Recruiting Assistant to provide professional and administrative support to our growing organization's important recruitment efforts. This position will support the work of the Recruiting Team Lead and the Substitute Counselor Program (SCP) Recruiter.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Report directly to the Recruiting Team Lead
•Contact and schedule prospective employees for new hire orientation and provide clear instructions regarding all required pre-employment information
•Assist with writing employment offer letters for all new or returning employees
•Conduct job candidate reference checks and maintain reference documentation
•Post and maintain job ads on online job boards and blogs
•Assist with scheduling candidate interviews and preparing interview packets
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the applicant tracking system
•Assist with conducting phone interviews for various positions
•Collaborate with Substitute Counselor Program (SCP) Recruiter in conducting in-person interviews with candidates
•Provide Substitute scheduling support to SCP Recruiter when needed
•Attend local college job fairs with the Recruiting Team Lead and SCP Recruiter to represent ARC as needed
•Source/establish ongoing pool of potential applicants for recurring job openings as needed
•Handle all recruitment queries in a responsive, customer-focused way - providing a comprehensive first line of information and advice
•Provide excellent customer service to external and internal candidates, in supporting the web recruitment system, to ensure a positive experience
•Respond to queries from recruiting managers, supporting and advising them to follow the correct procedures for high quality recruitment
•Communicating effectively and confidently at all levels, over the phone, face to face and by email
•Perform other related duties and administrative support of recruitment efforts as assigned
•Associates or Bachelor Degree; or equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education and experience may be substituted
•Minimum of 1 year of administrative or HR support experience; recruiting experience preferred though not required. Candidates with non-traditional backgrounds (sales, management consulting, and marketing) are encouraged to apply.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
•Proficiency with social media is preferred
•Experience working with an applicant tracking system (such as Taleo) preferred
This is a full-time, year-round position. Schedule is Monday through Friday 40 hours per week.
