Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Service Desk Technician to work in the Colorado Springs, CO area.


•Provide Tier I software/hardware support. Assist IT customers with fix/break resolutions to resolve complicated or unknown problems in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

•Re-image desktops and laptops for redeployment - facilitate hardware/software tracking and installation projects

•Activation, deletion, and modification of workstation and user accounts

•Remotely support IT systems and services via remote tools and telephone

•Troubleshoot and repair a variety of digital print and imaging devices, including digital senders and printers.

•Provides desktop and laptop hardware repair to include diagnosing computer hardware problems, replace computer hardware parts (to include motherboards, processors, power supplies, hard drives, CD drives, RAM, sounds cards and video cards)

•Position may require shift work and rolling coverage for weekend shifts as needed

•Other support duties as needed/directed.


•2 years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite (to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access)

•Solid written and verbal communication skills

•Strong investigative drive and listening skills, self-motivated individuals

•Commitment to maintaining the highest standard of customer service

•2 years’ experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 7 or better

•Operational experience with Microsoft AD Services, SCSM, DNS, and DHCP

•Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer

•Experience with USAF/DoD systems a plus


•Associates degree and 2-5+ years’ experience (or commensurate combination of education, training and experience) required


•DOD 8570 IAT Level II, IAM Level II, or IASAE Level II or higher certification required – includes Security+ w/ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CISA, GCIH, GCED, CISSP, CASP, CAP, GSLC, CISM, or CSSLP

•Minimum Security+ certification with CE enrollment required

•ITILv3 Foundations required (or must be able to obtain within 30 days of hire)

•With OS Certification to include (MCSE, MCSA, MCP, MCTS or MCITP)


•Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.

•Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
