Position Summary:

Assiastant Logistics Intern will have the opportunity to learn transportation from the ground up. While support our Logistics team in day to day operations, your focus will be on freight payment and process improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Help manage the international and domestic freight payment process insuring carriers are paid on time and spend is properly coded to the correct internal departments

2. Assist in process standardization and documentation for different areas on the Logistics team

3. Develop spreadsheets and databases as needed to track day-to-day performance as well as trends over time

4. Perform other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

-Customer service skills necessary to effectively and professionally respond to requests and issues

-Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced team environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals

-Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with various audiences

-Ability to read, interpret and draw conclusions from numerical data and written information

-Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications •Knowledge of concepts, practices, procedures and transportation regulations

Experience Requirements:

• This is an entry level position therefore previous experience is helpful but not required
