A YC start-up in the software space which is already on the market and serving over 250,000 users is looking for a Sales & Business Development Lead (longterm potential for CRO/co-founder role). We are targeting the multi-billion dollar education and freelance market. The job of the Sales & Business Development Lead will be leading the launch and building of our freelance marketplace. We are looking for an experienced expert in sales and ideally building freelance marketplaces. Bonus point if you command foreign languages, especially Chinese, Portuguese or Russian. Practical experience and track record is more important for us than college degree.

This is a hands-on position and you have to feel comfortable doing things yourself as we are a small team with less than 10 people. Idea is that you become our Sales Lead and drive all sales initiatives. We have huge chunks of equity reserved in the company and are interested in bringing in somebody with an entrepreneurial attitude than an employee as this role is KEY. You will be working with the founder directly. Compensation will be a mix of cash and equity. If you perform well in this role and deliver excellent sales results, idea is to promote you to a CRO/co-founder role with sizable equity share.
