We are looking for a part-time leasing consultant to work weekends. This position would be great for someone who is detail oriented, familiar with sales, able to work independently, and has strong communication skills.

Job Summary: Responsible for showing, leasing apartments and townhomes to prospective residents as well as supporting Community Manager in daily operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following but are not limited to those listed. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by management.

• Completes lease form or agreement and collects rental deposit.

• Responsible for ensuring "model” or target apartments are ready for show; responsible for maintaining work areas and office in clean and orderly manner; need to have an awareness of the "curb appeal” of the property.

• Responsible for the proper maintenance of all resident and property files.

• Thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications and all Property policies.

• Fully informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations and all amenities of property.

• Knowledgeable of required telephone and sales techniques.

• Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes, and policies regarding rentals.

• Maintain the on-going resident retention program under the direction of the Community Manger.

• Maintain contact with all apartment locator services and local businesses to provide informational material. Update periodically.

• Responsible for maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times.

• Responsible for maintaining the Lease Renewal Program under the direction of the Community Manager.

• Responsible for reporting any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the residents or the property.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. One to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Candidate must be able to apply common sense understanding in certain situations. Must have ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

• Basic computer skills are required including the knowledge of how to recognize and operate a mouse and keyboard.

• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and document incidents is essential. Ability to speak effectively to residents, employees and vendors.

• While performing this job, the employee is required to walk frequently and regularly and be exposed to outside weather conditions. The employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to type. Must be available to work holidays and weekends as business dictates
