Job Details

Cyber Security Instructor

Come join our group as a Cyber Instructor supporting our client at DCITA in Linthicum, MD. The candidate must have a Secret clearance and able to travel up to 50% of the time. Duties include developing and presenting curriculum material, monitoring students' progress, and reviewing students' work and graded assessments.

o Deliver cyber training in several technical areas to a wide range of audiences.

o Conduct research in order to develop technical manuals for training.

o Stay current on and maintain proficiency with current products and technologies in the cyber domain.

o Work with instructional designers and technical support teams to ensure material is accurate and reflects current technologies and TTPs.

o Conduct advanced training courses in cyber operations such as; intrusion detection, intrusion investigation, log analysis, malware analysis, network exploitation and other relevant topics.

o Provide students with experience and knowledge aligned with course learning objectives.

o Analyze course evaluations to assess training effectiveness and provide feedback and recommendations to curriculum developers. Revise course materials as necessary to improve training effectiveness.

o Work with other program teams to conduct needs assessments to ensure stakeholders' training requirements are met

Basic Qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

o Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred

o Security + certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

o CISSP certification preferred

o Seven or more years of experience in computer science, management information systems, or data security experience

o Experience working with information security practices, networks, software, and hardware

o Experience working with computer programming

o Experience working with operating systems

o Experience working with computer desktop packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

o Experience working with security architecture

o Security clearance, SECRET or higher

o Client requires CompTIA CTT+ and 8570 IAT Level II within 6 months of hiring

o Good organization skills to balance work and lead projects

o Basic leadership skills to effectively mentor and lead junior level personnel

o Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
