Sr. Infrastructure Systems Engineer position.

The Engineer will have a thorough understanding of Microsoft operating systems, virtual hypervisors, server/desktop hardware, monitoring, scripting, automation, maintenance, and change control. The candidate will integrate with our expert level engineering staff that will perform day-to-day support but also engage in architecture, design, and guidance on future deployments. This position will interact directly with sophisticated microsecond sensitive trading clients and internal staff.

Required Skills

A complete knowledge Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory is required Knowledge of VMWare virtualization, Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp

Knowledge of two or more Microsoft Server products Excellent security and compliance skills

General understanding of Routing and the TCP/IP stack

Basic understanding of advanced time concepts (GPS, PTP and NTP) Professionalism to support a 24/7 production trading environment

Day to Day support and troubleshooting skills in a high-paced environment

Operational improvement to continue to deliver a high level of service as we scale out our environment

Assisting clients and internal users with troubleshooting, maintenance and deployments Enter trouble tickets and work closely with our remote hands teams in the datacenters Assist in R&D of new hardware, technologies and techniques

Support the business in new initiatives

Experience with packet sniffing applications (Wireshark/Libpcap, tcpdump) is a plus Experience with CUCM


At least two years of experience managing Microsoft Windows Servers in virtual environment

At least four years of experience Microsoft Windows Server running on enterprise hardware in a production environment

Experience with Client, Dell, IBM, or Sun Server Hardware

Experience supporting enterprise storage and backup systems

Experience with Nagios, Zenoss, Sensu or other monitoring software Expertise with Disaster Planning or Cloud Computing is a plus

Experience with Linux is a plus Powershell Scripting is a plus
