The State of Ohio is requesting resume(s) and quotation(s) for an Project Manager. The role is needed from approximately December 12, 2016 to June 30, 2017 for approximately 1120 hours, with the potential for extension.

BACKGROUND

The state of Ohio is seeking a Project Manager for its Health and Human Services Ohio Benefits Project. The desired candidate should posess a strong track record managing large projects in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities and Scope of Activities:

• Develop, manage and execute master Ohio Benefits/Business Intelligence project plan, scheduling, dependencies, risks, contingency plans and allocation of available resources

• Develop and implement a simple, but multi-tiered decision making and issue resolution matrix

• Prepare integrated project status reports, and keep governing body and stakeholders informed of project status and related issues

• Frame, communicate and resolve project risks and issues

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in business or equivalent work experience

• 5-7 years of previous project management and/or relevant consulting experience

• Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in project management processes and methodologies, as well as, project lifecycles

• 5-7 years of experience in Data Integration

• Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a variety of situations and with various individuals

• Ability to identify project obstacles and proactively mitigate risks. Escalates and resolves complex issues effectively

• Ability to negotiate and implement data use and data sharing agreements

• Understanding of data governance and master data management principles

• Experience developing and implementing service level agreements (SLA)

• Experience working in a program management office (PMO) using project and portfolio management tools

Other Requirements:

• Knowledge of software implementation methodologies such as SDLC, Agile, etc.

• General knowledge of application architecture and data modeling

• Knowledge of interfacing with various applications, management information systems, data structures, systems analysis and design, and programming languages

• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team

• Strong organizational skills
