Job Title: Embedded Software architect- DO 178B - Aerospace experience mandatory

Location: Dayton, OH


Responsible for designing, developing and testing software to embedded software in support of electronic power systems for military and commercial aircraft. Comprehensive in-depth understanding of embedded software in aviation.

• Contributes to highly complex projects that require in-depth domain knowledge in specialized architectural domain areas to create the structure of a software system

• Provides architectural support across teams

• Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods

• Communicates across direct organization

• Connects the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions

• Works on cross-functional projects / teams to deliver technology solutions for the business

• Communicates across the software function in area of expertise

Primary Skills:

1. Hands on experience working with Embedded software development activities for Aerospace domain

2. Hands on experience defining software architectures for different subsystems

3. Hands on experience working with Structured Methodology/Model based design

4. Experience in device driver development for TMS320F28377S or similar.

5. Capable of writing structured and documented code from LLRs and design in compliance with coding standard

6. Experience in TI Code Composer Studio IDE/Compiler/Linker and XDS100 Emulator

7. Knowledge of BITE preferred

8. Understanding of DO-178B/C and Agile Software Development Process

9. Good Knowledge on Airplane Electric power generation or power distribution systems

10. 10. Good programming & debugging skills in C

11. Good experience working with Requirement tools, Design tools, Processors, IDEs & Debuggers

12. Ability to work with cross functional teams in a global environment

13. Strong oral and written communication skills

14. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Secondary Skills:

Educational Qualifications

o Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited College or University. Master’s Degree from accredited university or college is preferred.
