Network Engineer (level II or III)

This is your chance to help a small, well established, and stable team expand their core service offerings in the realm of network design and integration! This company uses HP networking equipment and Cisco ASA firewalls in their network designs. They deploy a large number of DOCSIS based networks and video delivery is at the heart of their focus. This company would provide high visibility for the selected candidate and an opportunity to be challenged at multiple layers.

Basic Duties/Tasks:

• Design, develop, and install network solutions

• Analyze, design and implement advanced systems for major customers

• Provide support for outages or trouble shooting when needed (very little travel)

• Analyze requirements from high profile customers

• Identifying network design engineering work process improvements; monitor and evaluating network design engineering team actions.

• Bring new ideas to the table and collaborate with engineers from other disciplines to create innovative solutions.

• Plan network installation by leading the developing of implementation and integration process; setting priorities; preparing instructions and documentation for installation personnel; producing bills of material; staging equipment; developing prototypes.

In short, you will wear many hats in a fun and collaborative team setting.


• 3-5+ years, network design and implementation, LAN Knowledge, network

protocols, network hardware configuration

• Prior experience with Cable/IPTV/Video on demand or related communication experience

• BS degree, a strong plus. BSEE, BSCS, etc.

Key or helpful terms: WiFi, Ruckus, Multi-cast, Multicast, IPTV, VoD, Video on Demand, analytics, cable modem
