Our client is currently seeking a Director of Sales to join their team at their downtown office in Vancouver, BC. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and prospecting sales opportunities to support revenue growth in new and existing accounts.
As a Director of Sales the candidate will have three main responsibilities:
5+ years of selling IT consulting solutions and professional services
Identify and qualify new business opportunities by negotiating contracts, coordinating customer requirements and integrating contract requirements our operations
Work with the project team to uncover target accounts’ business issues
Surface new ideas and service opportunities relevant to target issues
Develop and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with existing and future customers
Work with sales management team members in the establishment of performance goals for the sales team members along with the relevant action plans aimed at supporting the achievement of the performance goals with emphasis on exhaustive follow-up.
Attend all requires sales meetings and training.
Attend and organize key industry events in order to network with relevant stakeholders, gain industry insight, an understanding of client strategy/challenges and represent the firm in the marketplace
Focus on the needs of the client
Manage the sales funnel through regular meetings and/or conference calls with account team
Provide firm management with bi-weekly updates on progress the account team is making against plan
Generate leads through existing contacts, marketing events, and call campaigns.
Work with account teams to set sales and revenue objectives, develop account strategies, create account plans and monitor results.
Specific Skills and Abilities:
9+ years of business development and sales management experience
Previous experience driving large accounts, including complex transformation and IT programs and professional services engagements
Demonstrated understanding of Sales & Relationship Experience working in a sophisticated environment
Experience using sales pipeline and revenue forecasting tools.
Demonstrated track record of successfully meeting and exceeding sales targets
Strong organizational skills.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
Superior writing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
