The Keene Serenity Center mission is to build a community that embraces recovery through education and social supports in a safe and inclusive environment. The goal of the Center is to provide peer recovery support services for all who seek them while also working with, educating and building support for the Center in the larger community.

The Board of Directors of the Keene Serenity Center is seeking a full-time Center Director who is motivated to purposefully and effectively engage with members, volunteers, families and community stakeholders and partners to expand and sustain peer recovery supports for all those seeking long term recovery in the Monadnock region. The Director will maintain a safe and inclusive environment that supports success for all seeking recovery. A competitive salary, healthcare cost stipend and vacation benefit offered.

You will be responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission, grant and financial objectives by promoting the Center and the role of recovery supports to all stakeholders; identifying grant opportunities, writing grants and overseeing all grant reporting functions; establishing and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders; maintaining a climate to attract, keep and empower staff and volunteers to achieve the mission; modeling, following, and supporting the policies, procedures and ethical guidelines of the organization; and representing the Center at state and local levels.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of management and supervisory experience. A Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred. Additionally, the candidate must have a strong fiscal, grant and community engagement background in order to build and maintain support for the Center. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to those in recovery and to the recovery process required.
