Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.


Highest level of professional conduct, integrity

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proficiency in MS office computer applications

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Human Resource certification preferred (PHR or SPHR)

Professional level HR experience required – preferably in CA

Familiarity with Agricultural industry preferred

Description: The HR Manager reports to the Division’s Human Resources Director (off site) and assists in providing Human Resources programs and services to the Division’s operations. The HR Manager assists with effective administration of personnel policies, federal and state regulatory compliance, recruiting, employee development and training, safety and workers compensation issues. Specific responsibilities of the position include:

Provide Human Resources programs and services (employment, employee relations, training, compensation, safety/workers compensation) for assigned client group.

Serve as primary point of contact for assigned client group employees and management as it relates to Human Resources issues and questions

Participate in Division-wide HR initiatives

Conduct research of legislation and HR compliance issues; stay current on recent employment law changes. Assist in establishing systems to facilitate compliance

Gather, collect, organize, analyze and evaluate HR data

Maintain HR information and compile reports

Special projects as assigned
