Managing Director, Marketing Director of North America Region

This position is a top management role of the US branch sales office, directly reporting to the chief executive of parent company. Managing director is responsible for the sales of CBD products provided by company in North American market. Responsibilities include market research, market planning, product planning, channel planning, organization and implementation of branding and promotion activities, market exploitation and customer development, order management, import and export trade management, team building and organizational administration.

Main Tasks

Research and Planning • Organize and implement overseas market research, market planning and market development strategy in regarding to industrial hemp • Make annual and monthly sales plan, provide vision and guidance to team and lead team to execute projected revenue quotas for products • Organize and execute channels development, channel resource management and customer relationship maintenance • Organize product planning and management (benchmarking product analysis, product demand research, price proposal, etc.) • Analyze market trends for identifying new opportunities, identify and analyze competition, research new target markets

Marketing and Sales • Organize brand promotion and marketing campaigns (advertising, samples display, attend the trade show, etc.), increase the visibility and awareness of company’s products, manage trade fairs and other group promotional activities, and manage PR and the press. • Organize and implement sales support work order management, overseas trip arrangement, client visiting schedule) • Negotiate with customers for finalizing products, prices & business terms. • Maintain contact with key market and customers, while maximizing potential volume • Prepare briefing material for government and senior management on market related issues, prepare speaking engagements and presentations to relevant industrial groups.

Leadership and Management • Manage an effective, efficient and productive marketing team by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed • Conduct performance management of team players (according to sales objectives, work plan, budget, etc. Set team performance appraisal indicators and motivate them to reach sales goals) • Conduct financial management of the marketing program including budget planning, resource allocation and preparation of quarterly reports • Finish other work arranged by the parent company


• Bachelor degree or above, major in marketing, international trade, pharmaceutical, medical and other related majors is preferred • Above 8-year experience marketing and sales working experience in pharmaceutical industry, 3 years or above related working experience in a management role • Professional knowledge of marketing, including techniques for successfully promoting and selling products, business knowledge in regarding to international trade, budgeting, strategic planning and resource allocation, familiar with the cannabis industry • Past working experience in companies doing cannabis business (such as Isodiol S.A., Hempstory, Elixinol, CBD for Life, Cannakorp, HempMeds, Sweet Leaf, Strovia Medical Cannabisis etc.) is preferred • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams • Detail oriented and target driven, excellent planning capabilities and ability to actively listen. Solid communication skills including presentation, verbal and written abilities are a m
