We have a need for a Quality Manager with a client company of ours that is part of a Fortune 100 company. They are a global supplier of industrial components to the aerospace, construction, and transportation markets.

This Sr.-level position will be part of the Executive Management team and be responsible for advancing the organization’s quality function by leading the organization in the implementation and utilization of a world class Quality system, maintaining customer relationships as it relates to all quality issues, responding to customer complaints, and following-up on the implementation of permanent corrective actions to improve the overall product quality.

Duties include:

-Serve as primary interface for Quality discussions with customers

-Drive quality mindset through the entire organization, to exceed customer expectations

-Support implementation, maintenance and improvements of the existing quality system. Maintain controls to ensure adherence to QA procedures and policies

-Manage all Quality Assurance Engineers, Quality Supervisors, and Quality Inspectors

-Work with customers on an ongoing basis, responding to inquiries, rapidly identifying and correcting root causes of problems

-Responsible for coordinating inspection of customer rejected material, defect(s) root cause analysis. Support the recommendations for corrective actions

-Ensure the quality control guidelines are effectively integrated into the manufacturing process to maintain production schedules and reduce cycle times

Key Qualifications:

-Bachelors degree

-Experience in a manufacturing environment (i.e. automotive, aerospace, machining, automation, etc.)

-5+ years experience in quality engineering

-Previous supervisory experience

-Experience in understanding customer requirements / system / corrective action methodology

-Good understanding of ISO9001, TS16949 and/or AS 9100

-Working knowledge of GD&T, Gage R&R, and Measurement Systems Analysis techniques
