We are hiring for our new CSU in Lakeland (LCSU) as well as our current CSU in Bartow. Psych Techs needed for CSU/LCSU/SRT - $10- per hr. full time or $11.25 PRN schedule, Bartow and Lakeland - Full Time and variety of schedules, 7-3 pm, 3-11 pm,11-7 am and weekend shifts. HS Diploma/GED required. The CSU/LCSU Psych Tech provides direct care to clients on the Crisis Stabilization Units (CSU/LCSU). The SRT Psychiatric Technician provides direct care to clients at the Short-term Residential Treatment facility (SRT). Team Techs also needed $10.50 hourly, same shifts.
The CSU and LCSU Psychiatric Technician provides direct care to clients on the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU/LCSU). The CSU and LCSU (Lakeland) Team Technician functions as a member within an interdisciplinary team to provide a safe, therapeutic environment and support clients in the stabilization of crises and reintegration to the community. The SRT Psychiatric Technician provides direct care to clients at the Short-term Residential Treatment facility (SRT).

Provides assistance and supervision to clients in activities of daily living
Uses appropriate verbal and physical ACT interventions during client confrontation
Perform light housekeeping duties
Provide documentation and feedback based on observations and interactions with CSU clients
Concisely and correctly complete documentation and related paperwork in a timely and professional manner
Review Baker Act certificates that come to the CSU/LCSU
Assist in the implementation of day treatment activities and therapeutic groups for clients
Provide peer review and constructive feedback for other Psychiatric Technicians
Assist with reviews of seclusion/restraint implementation utilized with clients
Assist in providing safe environment for staff and patients
Assist with the discharge process for CSU/LCSU clients
Assess and evaluate patients' current status and document accordingly

Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
Prefer 1 year of experience as a direct care worker; higher educational level can account for years of experience
Clear and Active current Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) certificate preferred
Complete all PRC required trainings.
Complete all contact hours required for certification renewal (if applicable)
Attend all PRC clinical and administrative functions deemed appropriate by supervisor.
Complete Aggression Control Technique (ACT) training
Knowledge and Skills:
Computer skills- Microsoft Office, CMHC and Internet
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Good organizational skills
Ability to respond appropriately in stressful situations while maintaining self control
Demonstrate the ability to communicate appropriately and professionally in stressful situations with clients and/or peers.
Demonstrate the ability to prioritize work load and multi-tasking when needed.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate effective verbal intervention, ACT, and seclusion/restraint procedures
Comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
Life Safety Equipment (fire extinguisher), oxygen cylinder, ambu-bag, back board, basic life support equipment.
Must have reliable transportation
Machines, Tool and Equipment Used:
Computer, multi-line telephone, fax, copier, hole punch.
Glucometer, B/P equipment, stethoscope, Ambu-bag, Oxygen cylinder, backboard, veni-puncture equipment, restraints.
Reports to CSU/LCSU Manager or SRT Manager
