This position supports manufacturing plants along with the operation management team while improving safety quality and cost. This position requires creativity, knowledge of current manufacturing processes, an ability to improve processes, and good project. management skills. It is necessary to work well with employees from all levels.

Validation of manufacturing processes to achieve a competitive advantage in cost, quality, and product value in the marketplace.

Develop and release successful projects and manufacturing methods that improve operational efficiency, reduce cost, and improve delivered quality.

Execute strategic and tactical projects for a cross-functional manufacturing engineering team including training, qualification, and accountability.

Drive and coordinate manufacturing process improvements.

Drive effective an timely solutions to technical problems in manufacturing and the supply chain.

Work cross functionally with customer support, engineering, and marketing to improve quality of products and services.

Ability to create and support shared vision across key stakeholders through the development of strong business relationships and effective communication.

Specifically, this position will:

Provide technical guidance / training to Manufacturing Engineers throughout Aerostructures.

Create/Update Standard Process Instructions, Best Practices and Procedures.

Lead/Support RRCA/DPU activities at various manufacturing sites to improve Quality/Cost/Schedule

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Willing to relocate to San Diego, CA or a surrounding area.

Experience in acquisition, operation and/or programming of complex automated systems.

NC/Robotic programming experience

Experience using CAD/CAM/Catia V5.

Experience managing the transition from Technology Readiness Level to Manufacturing.
