BATCHER (Lead / Supervisory) – Immediate position available / Los Angeles, CA 90018

Fast paced food production environment.

SUMMARY:

Hands on position to learn product. Responsible for preparing & mixing Ingredients required producing finished product from calculations. Upon thorough knowledge of processes will oversee department and team.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 7 years of related batching / mixing / blending / compounding experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 2 years lead or supervisory experience with proven history of being able to lead and motivate a team (good mentoring skills). Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. repeatedly, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally, push and pull up to 50 lbs. repeatedly. Must be good with math to mix ingredients. Forklift experience preferred – can certify in-house. Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check, drug testing, employment verification and prove eligibility to work in the US if a position is offered & accepted.

DUTIES:

Compounds batches by taking formula and following processing instructions. Mix & blend ingredients to create various batches. Set equipment parameters for operation. Perform quality checks as required. Perform sanitation. Inventory & control ingredients. Maintain accurate paperwork/records. Submits samples to the QC. Raw material transfer. Transfer of finished batch. Moving finished batches to holding area. Weigh chemicals (raw materials) per formulas. Hook up piping, pumps and auxiliary equipment necessary to transfer compounds and solutions to supply filling lines. (Control flow to production lines). Position will also assist in maintaining all equipment and work areas in a sanitary condition. Follow all policies & SOP’s, including safety. Employee must follow GMP’s, all personal & food safety regulations, allergen management & work place safety. Once trained in product and processes eventual duties will include lead or supervisory responsibilities with team.

MISC:

Salary DOE and past verifiable work history. Normal business hours are from 6am to 230pm. However start time hours will vary for the 1st shift positions. Could start at 5am. Must be able to work overtime as needed. 2nd shift hours: 130pm to 10pm. Prefer someone who has flexibility to both shifts but most likely this will be a 1st shift position. Temp-to-hire conversion period is 3 months (90 days). Benefits include: Benefits: Medical, dental, vision (good portion paid by employer).
