The Manager of Operations Strategic Analysis & Development will develop and execute large scale, long-range operational objectives and strategic plans. The position will identify internal and external strategic opportunities to significantly impact company growth and profitability.

In addition to providing financial support and modeling, the candidate will be required to develop both broad and in-depth analyses of operations strategies consistent with its Operations Strategy. This role will identify, scope and lead complex, multi-disciplinary strategic projects that support cost reduction initiatives and risk mitigation strategies in addition to overall key operational performance metrics.

This position will be responsible for the leadership, management, and success of high visibility projects. This individual will be recognized as a leader in analyzing risk, establishing contingency plans, and influencing a wide variety of functional areas inside and outside the organization. The successful candidate will be required to create executive level briefings that provide support for Site & Supply strategy scenarios using KPI data and financial models to drive increased accuracy enabling decisions at the business unit and company executive levels.

Primary responsibilities:

Develop, lead and ensure the success of strategic projects with significant scope, complexity and impact.

Provide financial support for projects from conceptualization through completion ensuring that Total Landed Cost modeling is utilized to improve decision making accuracy.

Present financial analysis of strategic alternatives to business unit and company level executives for recommendation approval.

Be an integral part to the Operations Strategic Plan by serving as a subject matter expert while advancing the knowledge of the organization.

Determine “best practice” use of Operation strategy and Operation Excellence with the objective of increasing productivity and driving profitability.

Facilitating the Site & Supply project analysis, justification, go/no-go decision making, monitoring and reporting of the execution for strategic milestones aligned with the Strategic Plan, annual business plan and Cost Summit performance targets.

Develop and coach team members on both a technical and professional level.

Identify, establish, define and lobby for strategic project deliverables and objectives.

Anticipate and identify risks and obstacles, effectively quantify and communicate

impacts, adapt and manage mitigations and contingency plans to ensure success.

Organize and lead formal project status reviews. i.e. reviews, readiness etc.

Communicate and apply expert knowledge that extends across multiple disciplines

Provide strategic direction for processes, and projects across multiple areas

Provide cross-functional leadership and be seen as a leading expert within their field.

Develop sustainable tools that provide for efficient analysis of the business’ current state and lead to rapid decision making

Required Experience:

The successful applicant will have a track record of successfully performing the scope of projects described using a variety of tools and models, demonstrate curiosity and possess a flexible learning style to solve complex problems with limited information and guidance, including experience in designing projects, creating business cases, risk analysis, and presenting complex concepts and information to leadership and other stakeholders.

Experience is required in one or more of the following fields: price modeling, finance, strategy development, technical or business.

Experience in Aerospace is also preferred.

Education:

BA/BS degree w/10+ years experience in finance, engineering, accounting, business or related.

MA/MS degree w/7+ years experience in finance, engineering, accounting, business or related.
