Global Business Services (GBS) Project Team (TBC)

Job Accountabilities and Responsibilities

The role will combine a mix of project management responsibilities and hands on delivery, supporting the GBS

Project Team (GBS PT) in the planning and execution of the GBS Project. The GBS Project team is based in

Melbourne, Australia but some international travel may be required. The role is expected to encompass the following:

Supporting the GBS PT in developing and monitoring summary and detailed project plans

Working with external consultants supporting the development and execution of regional/country specific

transition plans

Responsibility for monitoring, amending and implementing the GBS Project Communications Plan

Providing additional support to the GBS PT in monitoring and implementing stakeholder management


Liasing with the Manila GBS Centre in terms of transition plans and readiness including systems, recruitment

and training.

Supporting the GBS PT in engaging with the business relating to additional Finance and non-Finance

activities that may be suitable for transition to GBS

Driving regional/country specific assessments of systems requirements (applications, shared drives,

communication tools, etc.)

Working with IT Project team to oversee planning and execution of applications/systems testing programs

relating to access and performance as part of transition plan

Represent/participate as representative of GBS Project Team in Decision Gate meetings throughout

regional/country specific transition processes

Various ad-hoc requirements that arise throughout the project

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

Past experience related to Global Shared Service initiatives – ideally both from a project and hands-

on/operational perspective

Experience working with transformation initiatives including operating model design

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with and manage stakeholders at

various levels

Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize across multiple tasks
