Engineering team is in need of a Build Release Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Modernization team using traditional and new (DevOps) release methodologies. Applicants should be comfortable operating in a “Greenfield” situation, rapidly prototyping and iterating on the product(s) using Agile/Scrum as the development methodology.

Perform and support build and release activities for multiple products with a high level of complexity

Implement, administer and maintain scalable build tools and automation activities

Support the design, implementation and ongoing evolution of a DevOps value chain, (Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment, etc.), working closely with engineering in its implementation

Design and implement metrics into each stage of the value chain to monitor and analyze performance

Work to continuously improve speed, efficiency and scalability of the build system for multiple projects

Required Skills

Good Knowledge of Configuration Management Process

Experience with common tools for

Source code management – Git (BitBucket), Perforce

Builds and Continuous Integration - Jenkins, TeamCity

Repository Management - Artifactory

Configuration automation and deployment orchestration (i.e. Ansible)

ALM – Atlassian tools Suite

Experience automating common tasks via Shell Scripting via Powershell, Perl, Bash, Python, or other

Windows System administration

Ability to work with business and product leaders to understand business requirements

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and as an individual contributor

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Skills and Experience considered beneficial, but not strictly required:

Experience working on teams with integrated development and operations resources (DevOps)

Experience working on projects with multiple, staged environments

Experience troubleshooting integrations between multiple off-the-shelf and custom software applications

Experience building applets and tools for internal use

Required Experience

BS/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience

5-7+ years’ experience working in the field or related area

Experience working in cross-functional teams
