The Lead MRI Technologist coordinates daily MRI department operations and workflow at a 250-Bed Acute care facility. Acts as a resource to all staff. Accepts assigned duties such as developing work and on-call staffing schedules. Accepts 'in charge' responsibilities as appropriate. Performs all MRI procedures and maintains a thorough working knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the MRI area. Safely operates the scanner and injector in order to produce diagnostic quality MRI images. Understands the computer software of the MRI scanners and maintains competency in MRI area. Consistently applies working knowledge pertaining to MRI anatomy and patho-physiology to produce a high standard of quality images while under the direction of a radiologist. Provides appropriate and safe patient care. Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participates in staff/student orientation and training. Performs venipuncture for appropriate exams. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Required to participate in "on-call" rotation as determined by specific department needs.

Job Requirements

Education: Graduation of JRCERT Accredited Radiography Program Experience: At least two (2) years of recent full-time MRI experience Training: N/A License: Florida Radiologic Technologist License Other: ARRT, registered or eligible. Ability to lead MRI technologists in a fast paced high volume department.
