Teaching hospital in NYC seeks a "PATIENT EXPERIENCE OFFICER (PXO)". Qualified candidate should have leadership patient service experience in acute care setting. Responsible for leading and oversight of comprehensive program(s)that will improve the experience of patients and the organization wide approach to patient-centeredness and engagement.

*Provide leadership and oversight of the patient experience program including but not limited to: development, execution and evaluation of improvement tactics to improve the patient experience and patient engagement. Support success of corporate goals under the service pillar by working with leaders, managers and staff to implement improvement strategies using recognized tools and methods and oversee the effectiveness of all programmatic initiatives.

*Oversees the Patient Relations department including the complaint and grievance process and tracking and trending and follow up of complaints. Ensures timely follow up of complaints and grievances and a pro-active approach to complaint resolution, service recovery and remediation of the underlying issue.

*Reviews patient satisfaction survey results; analyzes data; and facilitates development of improvement plans with key stakeholders. Coaches and collaborates with all levels of staff to support continuous improvement.

*Chairs the Patient Experience Steering Committee; reports to leadership including the Board on strategies, tactics and progress toward goals.

*Collaborates with all departments and levels within the organization.
