Do you want to learn how to sell insurance without being on straight commission? Do you have good sales skills, but no insurance licenses? This is a very unique and rare opportunity for someone who wants to learn the insurance business without being on full commission.

My client is a top performing insurance agency, one of the largest in the country. They are looking to hire a new Sales Agents to work out of their Eastlake, Mercer Island, and Pioneer Square area offices. Prior insurance experience is NOT necessary, but strong sales experience is.

If you do not have your P & C and L & D insurance licenses, the company will help you get them. This is a full time W2 position and you will be a company employee. Once licensed, you will be on a salary and commission plan with full benefits and retirement. Hours are 8:30-5:30 M-Th and Fri 9:00-5:00. No weekends are required.

Your training will be in-house by their Sales Trainer. The goal of the role is for you to spend the first 60 to 90 days learning insurance coverages and systems which will prepare you to be able to produce 20 to 30 items per month. If you write 30 to 40 items/month will earn between $60K to $80K per year. Top performers can also earn week long company paid sales trips.

This sales role will involve taking customer calls, quoting new insurance policies, calling internet leads, building your personal network/centers of influence, as well as cross-selling existing policies and following up with existing customers to gain referrals. The agency also has various sporting venues that you can utilize to help you build your book of business.

My client is looking for someone with lots of personal drive and ambition, previous quota/goals-based successful sales experience, strong communication skills on the phone and email and a desire to be in insurance sales. No job hoppers please. The company is looking to invest in people and wants a long-term commitment to the Seattle area.
