Administrator/Executive - Deputy Medical Director position located in San Mateo

San Mateo clinic seeking Deputy Medical Director; this clinic provides compassionate, nonjudgmental care to patients of San Mateo seeking medically assisted treatment for addiction. The supportive staff is experienced with the complex healthcare needs that can result from homelessness, poverty, and addiction, and our providers and case managers have specialized expertise related to the treatment of addiction.

In conjunction with the CHO is responsible for providing medical clinical leadership, fostering superior quality patient care, developing and advancing medical strategic goals and direction and provide for the recruitment and retention, credentialing and privileging of medical staff; work cooperatively with the CHO, VP of Healthcare services, Medical and Behavior Health Leadership Team and Executive Management Team, using a balance approach to include the perspectives of all disciplines involved in the organization's services ensuring the achievement and annual goals and objectives. Ideal candidate will be Internal Medicine, Family Practice or Med Ped with Board Certification and at least five years of clinical experience and senior director management level experience; exhibits strong community public health orientation; current CA licensure and DEA; has understanding and appreciation of financial aspects of Federally Qualified Healthcare Organization.

San Mateo is a city in the high-tech enclave of Silicon Valley in the San Francisco Bay Area. it is one of the larger suburbs on the San Francisco Peninsula, located between Burlingame to the north, Foster City and San Francisco Bay to the east, Belmont to the south, and Highlands-Baywood Park and Hillsborough to the west. San Mateo is about thirty minutes from downtown San Jose and twenty-five minutes from downtown San Francisco.
