Required Skills and Experience:

• A bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.

• 4 - 6 years of practical experience within the technology & security environment.

• Healthcare industry experience

• Strong experience in security policies and standardsStrong experience in PHI (Protected Health Information)

• CISSP certification

• Understanding of operating system and network security

• Experience managing enterprise antivirus software

• Experience in conducting security audits

• Willingness to be on call for 24/7 for security incidents as they may occur.

• Intrusion detection system experience

• Penetration testing experience

• Log monitoring experience

• Scripting knowledge and experience (PowerShell, Perl, Bash, VBA, etc.)

• TCP/IP

• Strong analytical skills with ability to relate to technical & non-technical personnel

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

• Experience working in an Agile environment or on Agile teams

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Information Technology Security Administrator who will protect the client’s physical and non-physical IT assets. It includes, but is not limited to, network equipment, servers, desktop and laptop computers, software, and electronic information. Specifically, the assets may include firewalls, intruder prevention systems, patch management systems, proxy servers, anti-virus, email filters, web content filters, backup devices, and more. Additional duties may include:

• Assist in developing risk mitigation and security control recommendations

• Provide security consulting as part of requirements and design activities for projects

• Perform security risk assessments, develop security risk mitigation recommendations, and identify security controls for systems, applications, and networks

• Conduct vendor security evaluations to support the procurement and deployment of service provider software, systems, and services

• Research and contribute to security awareness content to support periodic communications and training.

• Respond to and investigate security incidents as a member of the incident response team.

• Execute daily ad-hoc tasks such as firewall and log reporting.

• Understand, implement and maintain security programs and procedures key to our organization.
