SIS Reliability Engineer - $130-150K + Bonus – Chemicals/Petrochemicals Manufacturing - Develop, implement, and manage the site SIS program to improve the instrumentation/ systems reliability and resolves recurring problems. --- Revise existing or develop new functional testing procedures in compliance with the plant site, corporate (TES) and ISA84/ IEC61511 standards. --- Provide technical assistance and facilitation of SIS training for site personnel. --- Ensure optimum preventive/ predictive programs are in place and effective. --- Develop and implement an SIS instrument database. --- Ensure all SIS instruments are accurately reflected in SAP. --- Problem solving and troubleshooting SIS instrument issues. --- Review and input work scopes for preventative and predictive SIS maintenance programs. --- Facilitate system changes. --- Assist process engineering in developing SIS project scopes. --- Support Capital Projects related to SIS Systems. --- Lead or participate in the incident investigations and root cause analysis process to develop action items to prevent recurrences. --- Assist with the Management of Change (MOC) / Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) action items. --- Identify and implement predictive maintenance practices for SIS equipment including corrective repairs through coordination of outside vendors. --- Assure and maintain spare parts program.Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering. --- 10 years in chemical or refining manufacturing SIS instrumentation and/or Shut Down systems. --- 10 years in engineering, design and maintenance of SIS systems including instrument and electrical drawings and specifications. --- Hands on expertise in troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical systems and offering hardware or software improvements to current systems. --- Comprehensive understanding of SIS functional safety, process technology and chemical manufacturing site instrumentation. --- Sound knowledge of the RAGAGEP and ISA84/IEC61511 standards, National Electrical Code, intrinsically safe design principles and Process Safety Management (PSM) processes. --- Prefer Certification as Functional Safety Practitioner (CFSP), SIS Fundamentals Specialist (CSFS), or Functional Safety Engineer (CFSE).
