Hiring: Hardware Engineer — Munition Systems (defense & space)

Location: San Francisco, CA / Los Angeles, CA / or Washington, DC

Salary: $200,000+/yr

Schedule: Full-time On-Site

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and qualification of electronics for a defense system. This role supports PCB design, hardware architecture, product validation, manufacturing readiness, and system integration efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Design schematics and multilayer PCB layouts

Develop hardware safety and fail-safe architectures

Perform hardware bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting

Support environmental qualification and compliance testing

Manage BOMs and support DFM/DFT activities

Develop and execute hardware testing procedures

Collaborate with firmware and systems engineering teams

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

5+ years of electronics design experience

Experience with mixed-signal systems, embedded electronics, and power systems

PCB design experience using Altium, KiCad, Cadence, or similar tools

Hands-on lab troubleshooting experience

Strong debugging and hardware validation skills
