Registered Nurse needed to function as our Director of Cancer Center Service Line. We are an integrated health care delivery system based in Zanesville, Ohio. The system includes a not-for-profit hospital, an extensive network of more than 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the region. We are the largest health care provider in its six-county region of southeastern Ohio, which includes Muskingum, Morgan, Perry, Coshocton, Noble and Guernsey counties. We provide a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and comprehensive cancer services. This level of care has established us as a primary referral center for much of the region. Job Description: The Director of Cancer Services is responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation and performance improvement of a comprehensive cancer program. The program includes services that relate to the continuum of care from prevention/detection and diagnosis, to treatment, palliative care and survivorship. Programs and services will meet the needs of inpatients, outpatients, and the community at large; and will address the physical, emotional, spiritual care needs of patients and their families and friends. The director works to ensure oncology patients receive treatment for all primary oncology diagnosis patients, striving to meet the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of patients through collaboration with the medical staff and other hospital disciplines through a multi-disciplinary team approach. Eligible for annual at-risk payout of up to 9% of base annual salary. Reports to Chief Physicians Network Officer (CPNO). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: BSN required, Ohio RN license required; an ADN with a Masters Degree does NOT meet the minimum requirement; the RN MUST have a BSN as well. Masters required or must be obtained within 2 years. Must have at least 3 years of healthcare management experience.
