Sr. Account Executive Water Solutions – California

We are a premier engineering consulting firm looking to hire a Sr. Account Executive/Engineering Sales (Water Solutions) professional for our current opening in their Northwest Territory/Region (San Francisco, Sacramento, San Jose preferably).

The position's primary objective is to develop business with new water/wastewater customers, therefore the full range of system selling and leading the behavior by the assigned sales team at all levels is essential.

--Develop and oversee "new" account creation in conjunction with water/wastewater sales personnel and water solutions management team.

--Help establish business development objectives based upon competitive analysis, pricing challenges, the business environment, and input from various sales channels.

--Effectively manage and inspire geographically distributed sales personnel and facilitate priority access to solutions support resources, along with maintaining high management visibility required to successfully displace competitors.

--Assist in recommendations of new methods, acquisition, and new technologies to create business opportunities in alignment with the company strategic business plan.

--Work effectively with other internal organizations to maximize synergistic business opportunities and other duties assigned.

--Provide periodic reports such as PATT, MOR, order forecasts and others normal to the function of sales management.

--Interface effectively with all internal organizations such as Strategic Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, Projects and Field Engineering to ensure support is obtained which is essential to ensuring successful project results for new customers.

--Provide leadership to all assigned sales personnel for activities such as executive meetings, territory business plans, and developing customer relationships.

--Coordination of the sales negotiation process relative to technical and commercial requirements.

--The ability to interpret customer requirements and provide solutions.

The position REQUIRES:

--BS in EE, ME, CE engineering or equivalent and

--Minimum of 7 – 10 years relevant sales experience.

--Advance knowledge of the water/wastewater markets and the application of Variable Solutions technology and associated services and optimization solutions.

--Dedicated to persistence and resilience are useful assets.

--Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical.

--Strategic thinking and the ability to work autonomously, as well as experience with assembling and managing successful virtual pursuit teams is necessary.

Position requires 20% regional travel.
